North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) is seeking a strategic, values-driven Chief Financial Officer to join our Corporate Management Team and lead a wide, high-impact portfolio: Finance, Environment & Public Protection, Legal Partnering and Internal Audit, Democracy & Engagement, Governance & Business Resilience, and Digital, Data & Technology. You’ll set financial strategy, ensure stewardship and compliance as our Section 151 Officer, and drive transformation that improves services and outcomes.

Strategic financial leadership and Section 151 responsibilities—ensuring sustainability, assurance and performance.
Transformation and performance improvement across the Resources directorate—aligned to our Corporate (NK) Plan and community outcomes.
Partnerships and commercial governance, including advice on wholly owned companies and effective shareholder responsibilities.
Who you are
An accomplished senior leader with deep knowledge of local government finance and regulation, skilled in leading diverse teams and complex change, and confident operating in a political environment. A CCAB or CIMA qualified professional who communicates with clarity, inspires through collaboration, and lives our values.
